Properties: Pentex Corporation: a multi-national megacorporation, one of the largest in Agricola, which is also slowly being tainted by the Wyrm. Its main agenda is the spiritual, moral and environmental corruption of the planet. It was the main tool on Earth of the Defiler Wyrm and one of the most implacable foes of the Garou and Kindred.Originally an oil and mining company, Pentex is now a holding company with a host of subsidiaries covering every industry. Its paper trails are labyrinthine and its directives subtle; few are aware of its true nature, and fewer still have any idea how to combat it.
Subsidiaries:
Magadon Inc and Panacea Pharmaceuticals - is pharmaceutical companies based in Atlantic City and Washington DC, Agricola. It is a puppet of the Wyrm, spreading taint through its products. It is the second largest subsidiary, after Endron. Magadon operates in nearly every field of medical science, from genetics to nutritional health, psychiatric therapy and even veterinary health. It also quietly works on developing biological weapons.
Black Dog Game Factory - produces roleplaying games. They're best known for their Talespinner System games set in the Romantic-Rage setting of the World of Shadow. They affect that their games are much cooler than other RPGs, because they're not geek romps through Arthurian landscapes or nerdy interstellar politics, but set in the modern era. In truth, most of their plots and characters are lifted directly from Terry Brooks novels and Star Trek.
Endron International - the largest and most profitable of the Pentex subsidiaries. They are an energy company with numerous parallels to real world companies including Exxon, Enron, and Standard Oil.
Ardus Enterprises - a waste management company. Ardus sloppily disposes of all kinds of waste, including radioactive material. They dispose of it in the cheapest way possible and only comply with regulations if they think they'll get caught. Dumping toxic waste near water sheds and suburban communities where it can corrupt the maximum number of people is par for the course.
Omni Television - a syndicated network, Omni produces a number of mind-rotting television shows, such as Knights of Angst, about chic high school girls who fight monsters of the week; MSG Express, a cooking program; and Concrete Dreams, a brutal, live action cop drama. Omni's commercials, showing a lot of fellow subsidiaries' products, are subliminal advertising.
O'Tolley's: "The Family Place" - dedicated on spreading corruption and create an atmosphere that allows Banes to grow stronger. It sells very minor "Wyrm-tainted" food products to the population as a whole to make them overweight and lose ambition. Nothing to say, they are very successful at it.
King Breweries and Distillers - branch of Pentex that is comitted to spread alcoholism in a vicious combination with Wyrm-Taint.
